Wyeast / White Labs Comparisons Similar strains Often people ask for a comparison chart between Wyeast and White Labs strains. Here is one chart that has been floating around for a while. It shows strains that are similar -- most are not exactly the same, but you'll get similar results with the substitutions shown. In the spring of 2006, Wyeast announced that they were discontinuing several strains of yeast. These strains are not discontinued in the sense that they will never again be produced but they will be changed to limited availability seasonal offerings. There is no schedule for these releases but will be whenever Wyeast "feels like it". The following should give you a pretty good idea of what yeasts to use in place of the discontinued strains.

erichonour brought it to my attention that Jamil has created a cross reference that is quite a bit more accurate than the one posted above. I would consider this reference definitive.
